Musicambia at the Brooklyn Detention Center

In 2019, we partnered with Trinity Church Wall Street to provide several 3-day songwriting and hip-hop workshops for men incarcerated at the Brooklyn Detention Center. The April 2019 workshop lasted 3 days and featured 6 Teaching Artists working with 30 participants, who performed a culminating concert for an audience of 60 incarcerated people, corrections officers, and outside guests.

The Brooklyn Detention Center permanently closed at the end of 2020.
